Tackling Tuesday

The day was chilly starting out but it was beautiful as far as no clouds in a nice big shining Sun to at least give me the illusion of heat when facing the fireball on this somewhat chili Tuesday morning. I was headed inbound for the meeting at assist inc. I'd actually made decent time all morning getting up about 6:00 and then just working steadily at getting ready to catch the 9:20 into the library then out over to the office. I even made time for a much breakfast, oatmeal mush and toast it was pretty good actually. I probably would have liked to have some kind of a protein options as far as the breakfast went even an egg would have been nice but I didn't want to go through the extra work of having to fry something up. And the only meat product I had available possibly was some unfrozen hot dogs / wieners. Again I could have opened up a can of spam but seem like an extra layer of work and I didn't want to jeopardize getting in to Salt Lake too late.

I was the only member of our three member group of volunteers that sign off on these requests for funding documents. Both of the others are now quite sick one not even coming back I guess, Robin who I really like actually has got cancer and she's a Goner. This is really quite a shock. Seems like I'm the only constant volunteer that usually makes the meeting nowadays. Knock on wood I hope I can continue to be the Dependable one. We, the folks of assist, should start searching for a couple more volunteers. I don't plan on going anywhere soon but the second you start thinking you're going to be there forever is when you get the rug pulled out from underneath you and there you go flat on your face. I was going to go to the bank today following the meeting but yesterday at some point I was looking for one thing and found an envelope and I think I had 200 bucks in there. $100 bill in 3 20s and four tens. The reason I was going to the bank would be to get enough cash to stuff the envelopes for those folks that I write that get cash it's not many but still I didn't want to run out of cash as it were. So I just went to the train station across the street and caught the train home stopping at the market to get a few items that I've been thinking about for the last couple of days. I even made a list but then the list was on my cell phone and my cell phone got buried underneath the box that I was putting the groceries in. I still missed getting a couple of the items I was considering. Even with that I forgot to get ahead of cabbage and possibly ahead of lettuce. I continue to write the letters. My big fear now, since I have cash, is that the printer is going to mess up on me and I'm going to have a difficult time printing these. Tomorrow I'll finish the dictation and hopefully begin printing at least the envelopes then hopefully Friday I can put the items together and get them out in the mail at least by Saturday morning. We'll see
