Halfway through

It's a few hours past the smack dab in the middle of the holiday weekend point but still middle of the holiday weekend. Sun's gone down and it's much cooler than it was a few hours ago of course. The wind still maintains itself and the clouds are still with us it's cooler than I thought it was going to be but still overall a pretty nice day. I know I've written about this before but I feel strong enough to write about it again the fact that holidays have their own unique feel even though I'm retired and I would not be worA 1 ng tomorrow anyway tomorrow to me feels like it's a holiday. Everything feels different that way supermarkets and the clothes Banks and other pieces of Industry / business that think themselves so significant that they close on national holidays. I don't think the UTA buses will be running at full strength they'll be running on what they call their holiday mode and I'm not sure really how that differs from the regular service except that you may have to wait a bit longer and really check to see if the route is running at all. Many times on some of the Lesser routes that I use less they will close that run for the day of the holiday. That's okay for me I'm not really planning on doing tomorrow anyway except laying low and enjoying the Heat. I may make another stab at reading a block of material for my current paperback but aside from that just enjoying the day and getting ready to jump in to everything on Tuesday. I'm kind of amazed because again it's the last of the month that I need to start getting ready to do my June letters.

This morning at Sunday morning breakfast we were fascinated along with the rest of the restaurant at a an accident which took place right in front of our building. It was quite significant mandating a big fire truck and two ambulances and a mess of just regular police vehicles. I'm sure there are quite a few available because it was early Sunday morning and most of them is already done their donut Run for the day. He accident was pretty aggressive some guy turning quickly or trying to turn on at red light got T-Bone almost or the front part got nailed spinning the whole vehicle around 100 or 360°. And then the driver who is at fault stand around the accident scene all morning. You could tell that he was a definite whiner and he was Curly in the wrong and there's a full restaurant who watched the event take place. Fortunately we were not asked to give any kind of a statement. All the people who basically sit in the same area that we do but face the window had a much better view of the incident. There's been some talk among various residents here at the apartment complex of possibly putting together some kind of barbecue tomorrow in honor of the holiday. Quite frankly I'd be surprised if that were coming to be but that i certainly would support such an event. I have a fine kielbasa I've been saving for just the right event and tomorrow will certainly be such a Time …
