Sunday Rambles

my office
I just hate things hanging over my head. I just finished a list of items I want ths focus group I am doing to for work to accomplish. I could have just written two or three but I did ten and the event took me maybe ½ hour. Now, the project is done. Have sealed it in an email and sent it off to my boss. Done! Why did I just not do it when I came home from work Friday or yesterday sometime and get the mess over with? Now, I have to read over a document I lifted from the INTERNET last week to help in a presentation I am giving tomorrow in American Fork. I have a general idea o what I want to speak too and I sort of know what they (UFOMA—Google it)wants me to speak to. But really the guy who called me from UFOMA seemed pretty scattered. In fact was supposed to get back to me with the particulars of this meeting, never did, and when he DID return the call (Friday afternoon )I left him Thursday he asked for a completely different person. I was just fortunate that Cecilia recognized the callers name. Really if I was not so diligent I could have skipped the presentation. I could sure have used the time. Ee are getting down to the wire with these focus groups were are doing at work and I don’t need to be out of the office roaming round adjoining counties.

Will be glad to get this month behind me; These focus groups are making me nervous. There are some other things beginning to happen at the office which are making me nervous as well. Things which could make the work environment a little tense but I will adapt I always do—this stuff is “backburner” material and I have to figure out a way to blog it.

The focus groups are a good idea. I think the group will give my operation a good refining from the public comment and a direction to pursue. The focus groups will be an excellent venue to increase the community viseability of our office. I have to admit I was a bit spooked when we first considered the project—laying my self open for public scrutiny . There have a couple of community organization taking jabs at me of late. But the more I have thought of this process the more excited I have become. In all honesty, I really do wish to offer the best product we can give. I do believe in the concept of Customer Service and the best way to achieve GOOD customer service is to find what the customer wants then work to give that service.

So, I am off to review my homework and make a few notes. I should be done by early afternoon leaving me time to do some reading and sketching. I still have to call my mom but that will not be till later this afternoon or evening
