One more milestone on the road to summer is here and ,now, almost past. Easter is quite low-key for us. Almost a non day holiday. Really much more religion centered then Christmas, though you would think it would be the other way round. Since Easter is mostly eggs and candy, plastic grass and baskets the market will only tolerate so much spending—sorta like Easter has limits—where as Christmas is the full blown commercial orgy with out financial limits.
<>Easter at our house is mostly for Ani, coloring eggs, Easter egg hunting, Easter breakfast and tons of time with Grandma...and sugar. Now, that Mark A has a small family these folks also needs to be blended into our celebration of the holidays but has not really happened as yet. Maybe it has to do with the “kids go with the mother thing”. So Bridget celebrates with us—Shelly and her “kids” will celebrate with Shannon/Karen. Mark will celebrate with Kristy's clan most of the time. This is just the way it is. Seems strange when you think about it. I should really get esoteric and start celebrating Passover. This would really freak the fam out.
Today's weather is the best we have had in weeks, slightly overcast, winds out of the south and almost 60 degrees, balmy. Won't last though today's winds are the result of the next band of storms moving in; should be here by tomorrow. April 1st is close April Fools Day, but this minor holiday does not hardly count for anything holiday wise. Then Mother's Day: the birth canal for the summer holidays.

not passover!! how could you even think of it!! when you should be worshipping bunnies and brightly colored eggs and what not, there's just no place for christian based traditions. i've always wondered just which pagan tradition we got bunnies and eggs from though. Happy Easter
