Just another wash day

Remember I was talking about the apartment inspections? I was shocked this morning when the department manager literally ran me down to tell me that she was totally impressed with my apartment. She thought it was the best looking apartment in the building. This of course is Jasmine's fault, my granddaughter who's taking such good care of me these days. Jennifer, the building manager didn't care she just was impressed with what my apartment looked like. I felt like a kid again being told how impressed he looked at her how strong he looked or something. I am so easy it's pitiful. In fact I had been a little concerned about had they even inspected my unit yet. I was under the impression they had just because one of the doors I never lock was locked in the light above the patio was turned on, in the middle of the day.

It's it's Wednesday wash day and that means hanging around the apartment until the dryer is finished. This always seems like a major long period. I was able to spend some time out in the early sunshine as it worked its way through clouds but it wasn't too chilly or cold. I was a little a nerved when I pulled the clean clothes from the dryer and they are still a little bit damp, not a whole lot but just a little bit like there was too many clothes to dry for the period that I was operating the dryer. Rather than feeding the dryer anymore money I decided I'll just take the wash as is and close the dry eventually by the time I got to him during the week. I did not sleep as well as I was like yet I don't know why I'm exhausted this evening. Granted washing clothes is a bit of work but not that much. I was going to go on an adventure head south down to Harbor Freight to get some duct tape but then I figured why go through the trauma of getting on the bus riding it miles south and then returning I ended up going to the Dollar Store across the street and found a couple of small rolls for $1.50 a shot and should be okay. My caregiver Melissa and I are both shocked to me couldn't find any duct tape around the apartment. I was going to take the cushion and tape it better to the power chair. I sit on the cushion and it gets a little squirrely sometimes and in the past we've fixed it to the seat quite literally with duct tape and it seems to work well enough. It's a bit unsightly but I'm Way Beyond appearances at this point in time. I did return to the apartment however and spent an hour on the arm bike but even with all this I can't believe I'm exhausted to the point that I am right now looking forward to some bedtime. I hope I'll have better luck sleeping this evening…
