Thursday Thrills

Finally we had sunshine today in significant quantities! The temperature is not necessarily cold but cool and doable if you were to stay in one spot out of any Breeze that might be happening. I actually went out and sat in the Sun for a little bit this afternoon before I did my arm bike exercise and it was basically survival. As I do a lot during the winter I had a stocking cap on and I did drag out one of my new hoods to go with me as I ventured across the street to pick up a few things at the market. This will be the first time at the market this week what you doing pretty good for me but it's also because the weather's been so poor for being out in a power chair. Speaking of power chairs I did follow up with the wheelchair shop, again, today and got the same answer the shop is being held up by the manufacturer who does not have the parts. I'm not sure if it's a result of you know the whole pandemic thing and the shortages of this and that caused by the pandemic or maybe it's the current strikes that are happening all over the country. People are trying to get better working positions and pay which I guess I understand but certainly frustrating as hell not having to share that I can use and feel safe about and be able to reach the things on the top shells a lot of my cupboards. I know I know I'm being pretty spoiled. I should be thankful just to have adequate transportation, which I do right now but still I want to have more. I want to have the elevator seat along with whatever repairs are going to provide me with.

Today was coffee social and it was pretty poorly attended. It's the gambling day. One day a month buses to a casino just west of Utah, 2 hours from Salt Lake, takes a group of seniors and head to westbound to the casinos so where they'll be gambling all day or a bunch of hours of the day. This of course will take away the seniors who are usual members of the coffee group. Today I think we had maybe five all toll which is about half of a regular coffee session. We did have good discussions and decent refreshments and I guess that's as best you can hope for on the day before Friday and the weekend. Like I said I went to the market earlier today and actually did some impulse buying I bought a whole Salisbury steak entree. You know Salisbury steaks usually around 6 or seven pieces, covered in gravy, I don't know why I purchased them except that I thought that they would be good cuz I do love Salisbury steaks and then mix up some mashed potatoes it might be a good dinner that I could have a couple of times. Now I just have to pull it out of the freezer where I stuck it once I got home and heat up the treat. Maybe tomorrow or sometime over the weekend I can make a cute little meal some sort. One to purchase some other stuff but I never do because it's either too hard to carry back to the apartments are I really don't have room in the freezer. But maybe one of these days I'll try some of the other Frozen entries they have some of the stuff looks pretty exciting especially some of the Asian frozen foods well American Asian you know..?
